Colts' Daniel Jones wins quarterback competition over Anthony Richardson

The Indianapolis Colts announced the winner of their quarterback competition on Tuesday.

Head coach Shane Steichen said in a press conference that Daniel Jones will be the team’s starting quarterback in Week 1 when they face the Miami Dolphins. Jones beat out former No. 4 overall pick Anthony Richardson for the job.

"He’s our starting quarterback for the season," Steichen said via the Colts’ website. "I don’t want to have a quick leash on that. I feel confident in his ability."
